Maya's Hope: Formula for a Boy with Cerebral Palsy

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Alyosha was born in 2015, via an emergency caesarean section, during childbirth he had hypoxic-ischemic brain damage and asphyxia. He developed bilateral pneumonia and acute renal failure. For a month and a half Alyosha was in intensive care.

Over the years we treated the gastrointestinal tract, stopped daily vomiting, minimized persistent colic, improved sleep, decreased spasticity, and this is all thanks to diet and special supplements. We are constantly monitored by a geneticist, pediatrician, endocrinologist and neurologist.

Alyosha has cerebral palsy. With him, proteins are not digested and he has to have special mixtures in order to somehow maintain the weight. At the moment, we can afford only 6 cans a month. But this is catastrophically small, we need to double it because weight loss has happened. At almost 6 years old he weighs just 11kg (24 pounds).

It so happeneds that I bring up my son myself. Since he needs full care, I cannot work. Last year my mother died. I will be immensely grateful for your help."

Can you help us purchase special formula for Alyosha for the next three months?
