Maya's Hope: Diapers, Wipes and Medicines for Boy with Hypogenesis of Corpus Callosum

In Ukraine, parents of children with special needs are encouraged to hand their children over to state care. They are told their children are a burden on society. Children are sent to institutions where they are subjected to abuse and neglect. There is minimal support available to parents who fight to keep their children with them. Maya's Hope wants to help relieve some of the burden on these amazing parents and assist in keeping children with their families, where they belong.

"Sasha is the third child in the family, born in 2017. The pregnancy was proceeding normally, but Sasha did not want to roll over into the desired position. Before giving birth, the head doctor said that because it is the third birth and the baby is not large, a cesarean section does not need to be done. He was born in the 40th week with a weight of 3450g, 52cm, for a long time the child's cry was not heard, but with the help of nurses, the child began to breathe.

At 4 months old, Sasha began to confidently hold his head, there were even the first attempts to roll over, but that was all. At the age of seven months, he was admitted to neurology, had an MRI scan and was diagnosed with congenital cerebral defect, hypogenesis of the corpus callosum and tetraparesis (cerebral palsy) and development delay.

Now we go to rehabilitation every 1.5 - 2 months. Good results have appeared. Sasha learned to roll over, crawl on all fours, rise on high knees. But we still have a lot to learn to catch up with our peers. We are trying very hard.

At the moment, Sasha really needs 5 diapers and wet wipes. According to the results of recent tests, Sasha has a low amount of vitamin E. Therefore, we need supplements and medicines."

Can you help us purchase diapers, wipes and medications for Sasha for the next three months?
