Archgilles is a 13-year-old boy from the Philippines who has epilepsy and intellectual disability. His mother is a tutor and does manicures as part-time work while his father is a pedicab driver. Pedicab is a type of hatchback tricycle powered by pedaling a bike. Their income is not as stable because they have a one-in-one-out policy at home where one of the parents stays at home to watch over their children while the other goes to work. Because their income is not as stable, they are unable to supply all of the basic needs for their Archgilles, most especially his maintenance medication.
They used to get help from the government, however, recently they were unable to receive any help. They had to take a loan just to afford his maintenance medications for the previous month. For this reason, they came to Maya’s hope asking for assistance in purchasing Archgilles’ maintenance medication and other basic needs as it is difficult for them to continue relying on loans as their income is already unstable.
Can you help raise the funds for the purchase of milk, medicine, and more for Archgilles?
