Maya's Hope: Special Stroller for a Ukrainian Girl with Multiple Diagnoses

Olia is a sunny 9-year-old girl with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, myoclonic epilepsy, and strabismus being just a few among her diagnoses. She lives in war-torn Ukraine. Moreover, her family resides in a region that has been heavily shelled almost daily for the past six months.

Olia needs a special stroller that would make her transportation much easier for her mom. The stroller is designed specifically for children with disabilities. Since it ensures easy handling, high usability, and individual patient-centered care, this is quite an expensive but necessary device.

Can you please help Olia get a special stroller?

Maya's Hope work in Ukraine has not stopped for a moment since the beginning of the war. We have already supported over 7000 families who requested financial and humanitarian assistance and continue to carry on our important mission of serving children in need.

After almost 6 months of the war, the nature of requests for help has changed. Most of them are still based on the loss of regular full-time earnings and the inability to find a new source of income. But the priorities of children's needs have changed, and developmental therapy and rehabilitation courses have become the foreground again.

Maya’s Hope helps disadvantaged children living in poverty and helps provide hope by instilling value and purpose in each child.  www.mayashope.org
