Fundraising appeal - help us elect hope this May
On the 7th May there are elections all over the UK - for the Scottish Parliament, Welsh Senedd, and for thousands of councillors and Mayors across England.
Reform are hoping to sweep the board with their politics of hate. But there is hope.
All over the country an alternative is rising - inspiring candidates are standing for election to defend communities under attack from the far-right and to build a fairer future. A future of lower bills, warm homes and clean air.
So we’re getting organised to elect hope this May - and call time on politicians who won’t stand up for our generation and our communities.
What we're doing
- We’re taking action that targets any politician working from Reform's racist, climate-denying playbook, showing them up and grabbing headlines
- We’re building an exciting online tool where you can plug in your postcode and find places to go and campaign for the inspiring candidates who need you the most
- Using the tool, in local teams we’ll be heading out across the country to organise for candidates, and talk to our communities about the elections
- Hosting big training days to bring our movement of young people together, get skilled up in election campaigning and canvass for candidates
- All the while, we’ll be building a national story through pitching our young spokespeople, inviting press to our actions and filling our socials with our message
What your donation could be spent on
- £100 pays for travel costs for a young person to join an action day
- £50 pays for an online action training session, prepping our movement to take action against Reform
- £20 pays for a round of hot drinks for a local team our knocking doors
Any donations leftover after polling day will go towards our ongoing fight to win a Green New Deal.
Who are Green New Deal Rising?
We are a UK-wide movement of young people fighting for climate and economic justice, in the form of a Green New Deal - an ambitious plan to transform our economy to tackle the climate crisis and address inequality at the same time. Read more about our plan for the May elections and beyond here.
Disclaimer: Under electoral law if you donate £500 or more we are required to check that you are on the electoral register. As you donate, please provide an accurate email so we can get in touch with you directly to confirm your address. Thank you in advance.

I'm in my 70s, and grew up knowing how my father had escaped Nazis in Germany. I live in a comfortable area where the far right is not a threat yet While I can't do much locally I'm glad to direct resources to support your work in other areas.

Keep up the vital work. We CANNOT have Farage in charge of this country so that he can bleed it dry!

Farage isn't the ordinary bloke he claims to be. Anything but. I'm an ordinary bloke and it's up to people like us to stop people like him getting power.

i'm a pensioner, 72, woman. A very long time Labour supporter, virtually from child hood, watching my dad's frustration in the 1950's at the bias of the press( yes even then) and the iniquities of the Tories Then the wonderful election of a Labour government in 1964 under Wilson with a razor thin majority, after so many miserable years of the Cons( as always ). And scroll on 60 yrs and a Labour government with a stonking majority. And what do they do with it for the ordinary ( struggling) man and woman in the street. NOTHING. So here i am at my age GOING GREEN. WITH HOPE IN MY HEART - before it's too late for me - and the rest of the country. WE MUST SUCCEED. For the sake of my children and grandchildren. And in memory of my dad. I'm donating £20 today- all i can afford at the moment but I'll keep on giving what little i can, when I can, because this is a fight we must not lose we MUST
