MATES in Construction is a charity established in 2008 by the construction industry to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers and their families.

The MATES Program now operates in the construction, mining and energy industries and provides mental health awareness and suicide prevention programs nationally.

MATES is here to support the construction, mining and energy industries.

However, we can only do this with your support.

Each day nine Australians die by suicide.
Construction workers are 9X more likely to die by suicide than a workplace accident.
Men working in blue-collar occupations are of the highest risk of suicide.
Our young workers are at even higher risk.
