The Maryland Justice Project (MJP) has been a strong, honest voice that works to change the conversation around incarceration and the Justice system. Our mission is to help deconstruct the unceasing cycle of mass incarceration, particularly for women and girls, through empowering returning citizens, presenting new policies that will not only remove the stigma formerly incarcerated individuals face but policies that will dismantle the school to prison pipeline and prevent contact with the justice system altogether.
