In memory of Mary Maguire
We are deeply saddened to announce that after a short period of illness Mary Maguire has passed away.
At 12:12pm on Thursday, May 30th Mary died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. By her side was her husband Kevin, her children Sinead, Claire and Kevin, and Father Jim who had arrived moments earlier.
Father Jim sat by her side and said a prayer, and began to sing “The Lord is my Shepherd.” Halfway through his hymn Mary went for her final rest. In 30 years the priest said he has never seen a death so peaceful and beautiful.
We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers which we truly believe guided Mary to a death worthy of a life so well lived. We count ourselves lucky to have had these last days in the house together, her beloved grandchildren bouncing around and filling the house with laughter and love.
The funeral will be held at Our Lady Of Good Counsel & Guardian Angels Catholic Church (54 Harvey St, Bury BL8 2RD) at 1pm on Monday, June 3rd . We will then gather to celebrate the life of Mary at Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa (Hospital Rd, Bromley Cross, Bolton BL7 9PZ) at 3pm.

Mary has asked that attendees to the funeral wear bright colours and their favourite outfits.
In typical Mary fashion, she has seized an opportunity "to get a few bob for the orphanage." So instead of buying flowers, please make a donation in her name to The Good Life Orphanage.
100% of donations to The Good Life Orphanage go directly to help children in the orphanage & school in Africa. No admin costs or staff fees are taken outside of Kenya. Donorbox will take a 1.75% handling charge. UK donors can apply for Gift Aid to give an extra 25%.
