Hello!

I'm reaching out to ask that you join me in supporting Market Box (marketboxchi.org), a mutual aid project based in Woodlawn, Chicago that delivers fresh food sourced from local farmers to our neighbors’ doorsteps!

I've had the joy and privilege of volunteering with Market Box for 2 years and it has become something that is deeply important to me. Market Box started as an emergency response during the pandemic and has evolved into a vibrant food justice project that has served at least 740 households, or 1,800+ people, since April 2020 as well as source from over 35 local farms, helping to keep small agricultural businesses strong in an unstable economy. 

Beyond providing food, Market Box phonebanked seniors to help them get vaccinated, distributed hundreds of books and backpacks to kids going back to school, and helped parents and grandparents get Christmas presents to their children. Not mention one of the committed and caring volunteer teams I've been a part of.
