Each month, Marin Diaper Bank distributes 50,000+ diapers plus wipes, clothing, formula, baby gear, and maternity/postpartum supplies—helping families meet their basic needs and giving every child the healthy start they deserve.

Diaper need is real and urgent:

• 1 in 2 families in the U.S. struggle to afford enough diapers.

• Food stamps and WIC don’t cover diapers.

• Without diapers, children can’t attend childcare—limiting parents’ ability to work or study.

• Babies left too long in soiled diapers face painful rashes and infections.

• Diaper shortages are linked to maternal depression and anxiety.

• Immigrant families are especially vulnerable, with fewer safe places to turn and limited access to government support.

What began in a small office serving just 20 families has now grown into a full community hub supporting 500 families and 1,000 children each month. From our center in San Rafael—which houses our administrative offices, meeting and play spaces, and the Marin Diaper Bank—we serve families with dignity, care, and consistency.
