Help us support Rising Kites

Every bit we raise will serve a great purpose.

Our AMAZING girl started working at Rising Kites Coffee Shop in March of this year - they welcomed her as part of a 4 hour job shadow assignment for school, and she came home with a job offer!

They have provided Ella with a work experience that is truly a blessing. Ella loves to be at the coffee shop, and she takes pride in being helpful to others. They are giving her real job experience that can be hard for so many to come by, and they are teaching her skills needed to hold any job in the future. She does all her tasks, from the cash register to cleaning the bathrooms, with a positive attitude - even when "it's hard, mom!".

Rising Kites serves the Down syndrome and disability communities in some pretty amazing ways:
 

     ~ They create bags of positive information that are sent to welcome new babies and their parents into the Down syndrome community with love, joy and hope.

     ~ They grow and sell beautiful bouquets of flowers that raise money for this cause and bring happiness to everyone who receives them.

     ~ They run a coffee shop that provides employment to individuals with disabilities and provides the locals with a welcoming atmosphere, high-quality drinks and pastries, and the chance to see what their employees can accomplish when opportunities are given.

     ~ They maintain a social media presence that includes the hard truths and the hopes of life. They share the good and the bad openly and honestly from their hearts, and it speaks to so many parents who need encouragement. It is easy to put on a happy face through the world of technology, but it takes great courage to share it all… and personally I need to see what they are sharing.

As a non-profit, Rising Kites has accomplished so much in just over 4 years:
 

     ~ Rising Kites was established in May 2021 and has sent out over 3,578 bags of hope to families in all 50 states and in 22 different countries.
 

     ~ Rising Kites Coffee was opened in 2024 and employs 13 individuals with disabilities.

     ~ Rising Kites Flowers began selling in 2025 and employs 4 individuals with disabilities.

Your donations will directly support the creation and distribution of Rising Kites Bags and help sustain employment opportunities for individuals in the disability community!
