Goal

Our sweet Shiloh was born July, 6th 2025 and surprised us with her Down syndrome diagnosis. When she was born our world shifted in ways we didn’t expect. Like many families, we experienced a mix of emotions and a deep desire to understand what this diagnosis would mean for her life and for ours.

What we’ve learned since July is that Down syndrome is not something to be feared, it's something that should be celebrated. Shiloh has expanded our capacity for joy, patience, and perspective. She has shown us the power of resilience, connection, and unconditional love, and she continues to show us every day what truly matters. She is the biggest blessing to our family and we can't imagine life without her.

That’s why we’re proud to support Rising Kites. Organizations like Rising Kites provide families with education, resources, and community during the early days of a diagnosis, when families like ours need it the most. Providers don't always have the right words to help a family immediately following a diagnosis and the support we received in the days and weeks after Shiloh was born helped us feel less lonely and very supported.

Rising Kites also creates meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities right here in Michigan!

Your donation helps ensure families feel supported, informed, and hopeful as they begin their journey and we would greatly appreciate you helping us hit our goal to support their mission!

Thank you!
