Concrete Jungle needs your help to map the way to a fruitier future!

Concrete Jungle's map is one of our greatest resources – it holds an inventory of 4,200+ trees we’ve mapped in Atlanta and Athens. We use the map every single day during peak harvest season in order to know which fruits are ripening, where, and who will harvest the fruit. The map is critical to our ability to source the freshest produce and get it to folks who need it.

Our map needs a little TLC. To help upgrade the technology and preserve our map as a vital public resource, I'm raising money for Concrete Jungle - as a Board member, a volunteer, a fruit fanatic, and a birthday girl! With your help, we will be able to scout more fruit trees, and in turn, donate more pounds of rescued produce to Georgia’s food-insecure communities. Whether in honor of Giving Tuesday, my birthday, or simply feeling jazzed about what Concrete Jungle does, thanks for considering a gift to help us map the way to a fruitier future!

Want to learn more? Been gathering tons of amazing stories of how our map enables us to do our work. Read more here: https://concretejungle.my.canva.site/

P.S. Thanks to a generous donor, all gifts are being matched up to $10,000.. AND if you give on Giving Tuesday, I'm matching gifts to my own fundraiser to TRIPLE your impact!

A small haul of foraged plums, peaches, and mulberries from trees in Atlanta this year (yum) - so much fruit is out there waiting to be rescued and enjoyed!

More about Concrete Jungle:

Concrete Jungle’s mission is to transform overlooked and underutilized fruit trees and land into a healthy food source for communities in need.

Concrete Jungle has branched out over the years, but fruit picks are still at the heart of our work. Every week from May to December, clusters of volunteers gather to shake some trees and collect fruit. CJ staff then distribute the fruit to small hunger relief agencies across Atlanta. To date, we have rescued 1.4 million pounds of food that would otherwise go to waste.
