Goal
🚨 Help Us Help Rose and Precious
Rose is only 18 years old—an exhausted teenage mum, blind in one eye, struggling to protect her boisterous one-year-old baby boy.
Her owner, who runs a small camp in the hills of Chiang Mai, has seen tourism collapse. He can no longer keep his camp open. The decision to sell his elephants is no longer a possibility—it is imminent.
A breeder has offered a large sum of money for Rose.
The breeder does not want her baby.
At the same time, a tourism camp in Chiang Mai city wants the baby—alone—to entertain tourists.
If Boon Lott’s Elephant Sanctuary does not act now, Mama Rose and her baby will be torn apart—possibly within days—and will never see each other again.
This separation is permanent. The trauma is irreversible.
We have a narrow window to intervene.
We have the power to keep this mother and child together—but only if we act immediately.
U.S. donations are tax-deductible and may offer tax benefits.
If you are able to donate over $500, please email us directly regarding a wire transfer option for fee savings. Melinda Pharr at eleinitatx@gmail.com

We must hurry to Dave those 2 elephants for their sake and to relieve Katherine’s burden so she can eat and sleep and rest in knowing this mother and son are safe at Boon Lott’s Sanctuary.

Please get them rescued. I wish I could do more, but if everyone did just a little it would add up tremendously.

Thank you Katherine, I have followed you for many years & trust you completely to do the right thing for these animals, even when it has been the most difficult time of your life & cast you dearly. You & Saengduean Lek Chailert are the two people I trust most as the experts in your field, I would love to be but I've never even seen a wild elephant & only twice, from a distance, in captivity. I was shocked on both occasions, zoo settings prior to computers being in so many homes. If I had known back then, I would never have gone in. Thank goodness for the access we have now & such better education. I just wish I could give you enough to rescue every elephant in need. It's easy to get sentimental but not always realistic, I have cried what has felt like oceans, on too many occasions when it comes to our worlds wildlife. I've even cried the same over humans occasionally! I hope & pray to everything out there, in here and anywhere in between that you can rescue these two. Losing one elephant is too many. The mother is just a baby herself, they can live as long as us after all. 🤎 💙 🤍 💚 🧡
