NAIOP College Fee Application Assistance for Vulnerable Students
When you come from a low-income family, or when you’re the first in your family to go to college, pursuing education past high school may feel like a pipe dream. The biggest obstacles most of our students face come from outside the classroom. Many of our students are already struggling with multi-generational poverty; caring for siblings aging parents or ailing grandparents, struggling with work, and come from families who have lost employment and can barely manage to put food on the table.
Applying and paying for college application fees, can be a deterrent to their college dreams. That’s why we’ve launched a special NAIOP fundraiser for our most vulnerable High School students through Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada. We want to remove the burden of college application fees and make college a reality for these deserving students, brimming with potential despite their economic situation. We want them to know that there is a group of caring adults, including real estate professionals, who stand with
them and encourage them to fulfill their dreams. Your donation of any amount will go directly to support junior and senior high school CIS Academy students. NAIOP members, friends, and employees can donate to the CIS Academy College fund and help offset the burden of the college application costs. Thank you for caring and giving from your heart.
