Welcome to The Maggie Effect Fundraiser!

Hi, this is Maggie, and we're celebrating her BIG 5 this year!

Maggie was born on July 15th, 2020, with a rare genetic disorder called Trisomy 18 (Edward's Syndrome). From the moment we received her diagnosis, we were led to believe she wouldn't be compatible with anything life has to offer. Yet each year that goes by proves again and again that she writes her own story.

She has defied the odds repeatedly, facing death multiple times, but always fighting her way through. She's never given up, and neither have we. Maggie didn't gain her nickname "Miracle Maggie" for no reason!

Her birthday theme this year is butterflies; we always think of her when we see them. Butterflies represent hope and resilience after hardship. They represent growth and freedom. Maggie's first few years were full of darkness, but many rays of light existed throughout them. Now that she's older, that darkness is behind us. She is the epitome of strength and binds our family together with her happiness and purity.
