#SavingMaddie From Sanfilippo Syndrome Type C
Our daughter Maddie was born on August 11, 2009. In 2018, two years after we adopted her, she was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome Type C (aka MPS IIIC). Sanfilippo Syndrome Type C is a progressive, terminal disease, often referred to as Alzheimer’s for children. There is no treatment and no cure. The average life expectancy is between 10-20-ish years old.
We founded Maddie Dogs to bring awareness to Maddie’s Journey with Sanfilippo and to eventually fund a cure for this devastating disease. In addition, we love to give back to our community and those in need.
While we operate on a for-profit basis currently, we are a socially conscious business running entirely on donations.
Our prices listed are suggested donation amounts. No one is ever turned away, regardless of their ability to donate.
On this journey, it is our desire to support our community through donations to veterans, first responders, health care workers, and families who have children with terminal illnesses and struggle, just as we have & do.
Your donation is so much appreciated and helps us support these causes! Thank you so much!
All the best,
Allen & Brandi Abbey
