Goal
Conor O'Dea is completing a fundraising cycle from Malin to Mizen (M2M) from 12th - 16th of June 2023. The distance is 600 km and will be completed in 5 days.
Conor will be completing the cycle along with 23 others including his family, friends & supporters. Conor is a former Ironman triathlete who suffered a serious spinal injury when training for an Ironman event in 2018. He spent 18 months in rehabilitation hospitals and has continued his rehabilitation programme at home since 2020. His recovery to date has enabled him to use a trike as part of his rehabilitation.
The trike that Conor will use for the cycle was fully funded by the CAF ( Challenged Athlete Foundation) who are joint beneficiary for this fundraising event. Please note that CAF have a separate donation page for this event.
DSL ( Down Syndrome Limerick) is a charity that Conor has supported for many years and has witnessed first-hand the positive impact that their work has on the lives of people of all ages with Down Syndrome, through the provision of essential services.
Participating cyclists will cover the costs of their own accommodation and food for the event which means all funds raised will go directly to the charities involved.
