LUNDSTRUM PERFORMING ARTS
Lundstrum helps young people discover their unique gifts, develop their depth of character & imagine new possibilities for their lives!
Located in North Minneapolis the Lundstrum Performing Arts is a community school that teaches musical theatre technique in a systematic and integrated curriculum of voice, dance and drama.
Thanks to support from donors like you, Lundstrum Center provides excellent learning opportunities in voice, dance and drama to children and young adults.
Last year, we served over 450 children and young adults with 37% of our students receiving financial aid. Many families can participate in our programs because of the generous financial support we receive from the community.
The Lundstrum Studio began in the 1920's when Dorothy Lundstrum founded a training center for young women in dance, music, fashion and charm. Dorothy mentored thousands of students at the Ascension School of Dance in North Minneapolis and never wavered in her commitment to bring exceptional opportunities to young people.
At her death in 1998, Dorothy willed her studio to the Casserly sisters (each have spent 25+ years professionally in Broadway, opera, ballet, television and film). They relaunched the organization in 2000 as a non-profit, expanded the curriculum, and created a conservatory specializing in musical theatre training and performance. In 2007, Lundstrum Center opened a new facility maintaining its presence in North Minneapolis.
Your generous support ensures that we continue our mission so that young people will discover their unique gifts, develop their depth of character and imagine new possibilities for their lives. Please join us today!
