Lucy The Cat

You can help Lucy, the cat, and her mom put an end to a debilitating infection, once and for all. Lucy’s mom lost her job due to the pandemic, and without help, Lucy will be lost. 

Lucy is a sick cat who has been surviving for over a year with the minimum treatment. Lucy developed life-threatening Cryptococcus, the same fungal infection our friend, Finnian, had. Unlike Finnian, Lucy’s case was not caught early. It is incredibly hard to diagnose. For over a year, Lucy’s proud mom has been scraping up the money for monthly treatments to keep the infection at bay, but she has never overcome the diagnosis. 

As a restaurant server, Lucy’s mom struggled to afford the monthly bills and has paid over $15,000 for Lucy’s diagnosis and treatment over time. Now, with COVID, Lucy’s owner is out of work and can no longer afford the bare minimum monthly treatment. So, she is asking for help, not just for her usual treatment, but to increase the treatments over two months to hopefully knock the infection out completely. 

Lucy’s owner is not one to ask for help. She was doing the best she could to help her cat all this time, but with COVID, she has hit bottom. She will do anything for her cat, and she would rather not ask for help, but she has no other option.
