Lucille
May 24, 2017-
We continue to need your prayers as Lucille continues to not do well. We are doing all we can but unfortunately that costs financially.May 23, 2017-
We had to make an emergency trip to Culbreth Carr Watson Animal Clinic with Lucille this morning. She isn't doing well and, unfortunately, hasn't improved all day. They have done blood work, run tests and performed an ultrasound. The short version is her levels are very high, the ultrasound was consistent with pancreatitis, her liver was enlarged and she has some masses on her gall bladder but they do not seem to be obstructing.
Lucille is receiving fluids, on antibiotics and we are hoping she turns around. The vets are keeping us updated on her progress. We do not often ask for donations unless there are large unforeseen occurrences and, unfortunately, this is one. Please donate to her vet bill.
Meet Lucille! She is 12+ years old and completely blind. She was found abandoned in a pasture by someone who had said she had been there for 2 days with no food or water. Because of her blindness, we are guessing she became disoriented, exhausted and gave up. She was taken to a local animal control facility but no one claimed her. She is so precious that we felt we had to save her. She is now fully vetted and awaiting a forever home. We understand it's a long shot for someone to have a heart so pure that they would want to adopt a 12+ year old blind dog but we are hopeful. If not, this girl will stay with us forever. We just will not give up on her like has been done to her in the past. Please SHARE this sweet girl to help her find that one in a million person who has been searching for a sweet girl like Lucille to complete their family!
