Love our Oceans

The SCCA's mission is to protect lands and waters in the Sunshine Coast Natural Resource District from Howe Sound to Homathko. 

Marine and foreshore ecosystems are increasingly threatened by climate change, pollution, habitat destruction, and coastal development. Rising sea levels, poor water quality, and invasive species harm wildlife and habitats, while shoreline armouring, marine debris, and industrial activities further degrade ecosystem health.

Through our Love Our Oceans campaign, the SCCA is working to protect these vital ecosystems and the biodiversity they support.
