About Us
Americans for Justice in Palestine Action (AJP Action) is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization advocating for legislation supporting the human rights of the Palestinian people and endorsing candidates for office who support those rights.
Our Mission
We fiercely and unapologetically lobby for Palestinian rights. The Palestinian people are systematically oppressed by Israeli settler-colonialism, apartheid, and military occupation. They are denied their right to self-determination through Israel’s separate and unequal regime.
As people living in the United States, we have a special obligation to lobby for Palestinian rights because it is our government that provides Israel with nearly unconditional and unlimited diplomatic and military support to entrench Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people.
We work to oppose legislation and policy that furthers Israeli oppression and we work to support legislation and policy that upholds and advances Palestinian rights. And we are proud to endorse candidates for office who stand with the Palestinian people to achieve their rights.
Our Principles
We support Palestinian freedom from Israeli military occupation, justice for Palestinian refugees through their right of return, and equality for Palestinian citizens of Israel.
We support the Palestinian civil society-led campaign for boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) against Israel and companies that profit from its oppression of the Palestinian people until Palestinians achieve freedom, justice, and equality.
We do not take a position on a political settlement between Israel and the Palestinian people. As people in the United States, we are responsible for the actions and policies of our government.
We believe in human rights and international law and accountability for their violation.
We support reorienting US policy to support the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people and believe that the United States should end all forms of support to Israel as long as its oppression of the Palestinian people continues.
