LLT LLP - Dominican Republic Project

LLT LLP is supporting the new colmado, a small convenience store in Vasca, Dominican Republic, for Pastor David and Ana. They minister in Batey Vasca, a small village in the sugarcane fields. Most of the people in Vasca are of Haitian descent and live in poverty. Children, pregnant women, and the elderly are at risk of malnutrition and face other health issues, but they do not have access to healthcare or other basic necessities.

This project will help Pastor David and Ana create a sustainable income to support their family so they can continue their work in the community. They will offer groceries and household items to the local residents.

The program is being carried out with Coop Tu Crecer, a local credit union. Hungry For Life's partner Carlos Pimentel, along with several other partners, serves on the board of this credit union. The cost of purchasing inventory and supplies will be provided in the form of a microloan through Coop Tu Crecer. This initiative will provide the financial security the family needs, allowing them to fully dedicate themselves to the pastoral care of the church and continue serving their community.

Financial transparency is a core value of Hungry For Life. Therefore, 100% of donations will go directly toward this project.
