Goal

We're lighting Beacons for connection, liberation and world harmony. We believe that by sending out desire and intention, we can synchronise a more positive vibration that can make a difference.

The Campfire Convention community is evolving a new model for social networking, actively facilitating global and local change through human kindness, connectivity, playfulness, trust and initiatives for change.

Our Beacons lighting - at solstices, equinoxes and other significant dates in the calender that relate to natural rhythms and cycles - is all about bringing communities together face-to-face, to bring about local and regional connection, whilst shining a light on the need for a collective manifestation of world harmony, a bigger picture view that transcends polarised differences and creates its own positive narrative around wholesale systemic change based on finding the common ground, ending structures based on segregation and oppression.

On Friday November 24th, we had people in 20 or more countries lighting Beacons for World Harmony. We'd love to be able to represent those Trailblazers on a an easy-to-use map, where each one or group can stick a pin in that map and set up their own Beacon.

The Beacon is a light through the darkness, leading us to safe havens that exist all over the globe. When we light our beacons around the world on significant calendar days, solstices and equinoxes, we offer a guiding light to one another to welcome in an expanded consciousness of love.

We feel that a graphic visual online representation of Beacon lighting is what is needed as a catalyst or spark to inspire and connect. To this end, we need to appeal to you to help is finance the javascript development of a visual representation of the lighting of Beacons around the world.

The online and ‘real life’ Beacons will work synchronistically. The Beacon on the ground might be a one off gathering around a fire or it might be a gesture around a lighting of a candle. It might be a community forming to establish common ground, identify areas where change is needed and frameworks to carry out those actions, or to trailblaze new directions, values and principles. Or just be an opportunity to get together and make friends with neighbours.

It’s time to reclaim the idea of Beacons.  Instead of using them merely for the celebration of royal pageantry, anniversaries or such other star-spangled ceremonials, let’s re-ignite them as signals for significant connection and celebration for the common good and for everyone.  The Beacons will bring light to this sense of connection and universal commonality between us all, whatever the beliefs, borders or prejudices.

Let's gather around the fire and light up the world together.
