Goal

The future of Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the community conservancy movement in northern Kenya is threatened amidst this crisis. We have the knowledge, passion and determination to overcome this challenge, with your help.
Zero tourism has led to a massive revenue drop for Lewa and our partners that strip vital funding from conservation, research and community development programs. In addition, we are preparing to help local authorities respond to COVID-19 with basic healthcare, hand-washing stations, and virus prevention education services.
As a community-focused conservancy, Lewa’s work directly impacts over 90,0000 community members. We remain deeply committed to supporting local communities across northern Kenya, through which we also, with partners, protect some of the world’s most vulnerable wildlife, even amidst a global emergency.
Click here to learn more about our crisis priority programs – Healthcare, Anti-Poaching/Security, Micro-enterprise, Education and Sustainable Agriculture – in a letter from Mike Watson, CEO, on the impact of COVID-19 and Lewa’s response.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are all impacted by COVID-19 in some way and ask that if you are able to give, your support will help ensure Lewa can continue to provide health services and income-generating opportunities to community members and protect the vulnerable wildlife you care about.
