Goal

In November 2014, a small group of youth-focused nonprofit organizations and coalitions in Baltimore City met to discuss possibilities for an event that would provide a safe, affirming, positive and magical place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) youth.

In May 2015, we hosted our very first LGBTQ Prom. Around 125 youth attended A Night Under The Stars, and the event was a huge success. Since then, we have been able to produce a prom each year: Night Circus took place in 2016, Enchanted Forest in 2017, Planets Align in 2018 and Rainbow Fish Paradise in 2019.

In five years, our event has grown into becoming one of Maryland's largest LGBTQ youth events, welcoming nearly 600 LGBTQ young people and allies from all over the Mid-Atlantic region.

Due to COVID-19, we were forced to cancel our prom in 2020. We know the event is sorely missed, as it was one of the few opportunities for LGBTQ youth in the DMV region to gather and celebrate in a space made just for them. While we do not yet feel ready to host an in-person youth event, we are thrilled to present PROM UPLOADED, a virtual prom event for LGBTQ youth in Maryland and beyond!

In order to make this happen, we need your partnership. Join us in reminding LGBTQ youth how special, powerful, resilient and absolutely fierce they are, especially after this challenging year. Pitch in help us create another year of joy and celebration for LGBTQ youth across Maryland! Interested in sponsorship? Find out more information at https://linktr.ee/lgbtqprom.
