Legal Fees & Living Expenses

We are raising funds to cover the cost of legal fees for a South Carolina woman who is being charged "desecration of human remains" after miscarrying her pregnancy a few weeks ago. ( https://jessica.substack.com/p/another-woman-arrested-for-her-pregnancy)

She faces up to 10 years in jail if she is found guilty. 

This is not the first case like this we've seen in South Carolina, and unfortunately we all know it won't be the last.

Our client was bailed out of jail on Monday (7/14) and we were able to spend some time with her and ensure she had everything she needed. While it is important for us to maintain her privacy, we want everyone to know that legal counsel has been obtained by her and she is getting the legal help she needs. All money raised for her will go towards legal fees as well as safe living costs for her while she navigates the difficult months ahead. Thank you all for your support. We cannot know what the road ahead looks like for her, but your support has made a huge impact on her quality of life going forward!
