Legal Fees Support

On May 1, 2024, UT Dallas arrested 21 students, alumni, faculty, & community members at a protest during heightened moments of repression. The protest centered the genocide in Gaza & demanded that UTD divest from death. Of the initial 21 arrests, 14 faced indictment––in other words, a formal charge. 12 of the 14 have now enrolled into Collin County's Pre-Trial Diversion (PTD) program that requires they pay fees to Collin County. Money raised will also go to supporting another pro-Palestine student on campus that the police targeted more recently.
