SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES EQUITY RELIEF FUND
The Los Angeles Urban League staff has deployed to various relief and help centers throughout Altadena and Pasadena. We’ve had boots on the ground offering assistance of every kind, to thousands of fire victims. Many neighborhoods were obliterated off the map by the hard charging Eaton Fire, which ignited during the evening of January 7th. This blaze, as it tumbled down Eaton Canyon overlooking Altadena, destroyed a staggering 9400 homes and more than 1000 other structures, leaving people not just houseless but jobless.

Please support our efforts to bring relief to a dire community in pain. Any amount of donation will help. We’ve established the—Southern California Wildfires Equity Relief Fund. SoCal Equity Fund, for short. Our quest is to ensure the equitable delivery of relief and recovery assistance to those affected by the fires.
Every cent raised in the SoCal Equity Fund will be handed over to the victims of the fire, some who escaped with barely more than the clothes on their back during a mandatory evacuation. They’ve lost everything they had. The Eaton blaze caught many without fire insurance, with minimal savings in the bank and nowhere to turn to during this catastrophic moment in their life.
We the Los Angeles Urban League, are determined to serve as somewhat of a lifeline for them, for the long term. With your help, we can help them RECOVER and REBUILD, ensuring along the way that no neighborhood, the underserved nor any communities of color are left behind.
