Forge Laser 2021-2022 Equipment Fundraiser

Donating to this fund will go to upgrading the equipment in the Forge's Laser Lab!

The Equipment Wishlist:

4'x8' capacity Production Laser: $30,000

Upgraded ventilation & filtration: $5,000

The Forge has always had a Laser Lab.  When we started seeing small businesses emerge from the shop, we knew we needed to grow what we had.  We've moved from 1'x2.5' work surfaces to over 3'x5', and the need to expand further has come.

The Forge is seeking a CO2 laser capable of cutting 4'x8' sheets of both plywood and acrylic up to 1" thick.  The particular laser we are looking for can also cut 18 gauge steel.

There is a constant line to use the existing laser equipment, and increasing the arsenal will not only relieve that pressure, it will increase efficiency of production for small businesses at the Forge.
