Goal
The King’s Village Medical Centre is the only significant health facility in a district of more than 160,000 people, providing emergency services and in-patient and out-patient care. We employ more than 200 staff in the centre including doctors, nurses and pharmacists. We exist to provide high quality medical care to some of the most vulnerable and econominally disadvantaged communities in Northern Ghana.
The King’s Village Ghana is delighted to announce that we have agreed a new 5-year global partnership with Nottingham University Hospitals. The aim of this partnership is train our staff in transformational leadership.
Alongside the training of staff, we urgently want to increase the quality of medical equipment in the hospital.
We have witnessed increased patient demand from new mothers, malnourished children and those with no other access to healthcare. Therefore, it is essential that we raise £20,000 for the following medical equipment:
- Blood Bank Fridge (268l) £4,901
- Fully Automated Biochemistry Analyser (e.g. Mindray BS-240) £10,333
- Laboratory Autoclave (24l) £1,227
- Laboratory Incubator £1,220
- Blood donation beds x4 £800
We want to express our utmost thanks to every single supporter of The King's Village. You are helping us save lives.
