With the surge in enforcement and detentions this month, we have experienced a huge increase in request for support from our hotline. please help us meet the immediate need by donating now to help a family obtain legal counsel, pay rent, or receive groceries this month.

About La Red de Solidaridad

La Red de Solidaridad has been Utah's volunteer-run hotline supporting families with loved ones in the process of deportation since 2017.  La Red de Solidaridad exists to activate the existing solidarity networks and is committed to support detainees and stay with families through whatever comes next.

With your financial support we can show up for our immigrant communities in Utah. Within the context of defending families from deportations, La Red de Solidaridad:

• Serves as the first place detainees's families call to get help from our bilingual volunteers to find their loved ones in detention and to figure out a plan of action
• Provides referrals to trusted immigration attorneys and when possible, tries to cover the cost of initial immigration consults to equip detainees's families with knowledge about their options ahead
• Deposits emergency funds for commissary accounts and for calls for folks in detention
• Coordinates support with other local organizing groups, including local mutual aid groups, court accompaniment, and free legal defenders for Habeas Corpus requests
• In cases a detainee from Utah exits detention, La Red supports with bus or flight tickets to return home
  
• And beyond the detainee's needs, we also assess needs from the detainee's families, and coordinate one-time emergency assistance with groceries, utilities, bus passes, and rents.
