On July 17, KRYZ Radio's transmitter died and passed into the great beyond. Obviously this is a crucial piece of equipment without which we are unable to continue broadcasting, so we have no choice but to replace it immediately. Even a basic transmitter costs about $3,000 (better ones are at least $5,000), so needless to say this a huge financial hit for a tiny community radio station like KRYZ, who depends on the generosity of our listeners, underwriters, and sponsors to continue to be able to broadcast. We would be beyond grateful for any additional help you might be able to give toward the purchase of the new transmitter.
