KidBacker Foundation for Entrepreneurship is raising money to fund the purchase of portable solar-powered charging stations for Puerto Rico. These "stations," called The Sunshine Box, were invented and are manufactured by young entrepreneur Conner Hazelrigg, CEO & Founder of 17° 73° Innovation Co., a Kansas City start-up entity. The Sunshine Box charger was initially designed to provide a grid-independent, economical, multiuser power source for energy-impoverished citizens with mobile technology. The Sunshine Box is located in 11 countries on 4 continents. It's clear that the Sunshine Box will bring relief to victims of the hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico by providing them with a means to charge their phones so they can communicate and find access to food, medicine, water, and other life-sustaining supplies.
We are connecting Conner with young entrepreneurs in our community who have feet on the ground in Puerto Rico and who will help take Conner and her team to the areas most in need.
Your donations will pay for the following:
1. The purchase of Sunshine Boxes for the areas most in need. Each box costs $500.
2. Pay for Conner and her gear to travel to Puerto Rico.
3. Provide water and food to her and her team and more importantly the people inland that she is helping.
KidBacker Foundation will take zero dollars from the donations. We have a donor who will match up to $1,000 for every donation made.
