Kick-Off Campaign
Did you know that 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? According to Autism Speaks Canada, "Autism is now the fastest growing and most commonly diagnosed neurological disorder in Canada".
This statistic speaks to the increasing need for support services to children and families who are affected by autism, and we believe that this work has never been more important than it is today.
Children with autism experience a range of developmental delays including communication, learning, social interaction, and sensory processing. As a registered charity, Peace by Piece - Autism Development and Sensory Centre was formed to combat some of these issues and aims to be a one-of-a-kind sensory centre dedicated to providing a therapeutic, sensory-safe environment for children with autism.
To achieve our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of community-minded individuals and businesses like you for support. In order to open our state-of-the-art Sensory Centre, we need to raise $250 000. Here’s a look at some of the costs that make up our goal:
$13 000 for interactive wall features (to provide tactile and fine motor development)
$37 000 for indoor play structure (helps develop gross motor skills)
$4 600 for therapeutic chairs and swings (promotes balance and vestibular stimulation)
$42 830 for light projectors, bubble tubes, and LED ball pit (assists with visual stimulation and induces a calming effect)
Without assistance, we will not be able to serve the children and families in our community who so desperately need a centre like ours.
Would you please consider supporting us and the children in our community that are affected by autism, by making a financial contribution?
Peace by Piece is entering an exciting time, as we look forward to providing a unique experience in our specialized centre. We invite you to be a part of that, and experience firsthand the pride we take in our deeply personal cause.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
