Goal
Thanks for visiting this page. David loved his career as a journalist and created the podcast 'Ukraine: The Latest', which has broadcast every day since the full-scale invasion of February 2024.
He also loved music, cricket, Warhammer & Napoleonic history to name but a few of his passions and was a kind, funny and loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, colleague and friend to many people.
KHARPP is a UK-registered charity working in Ukraine. After two-and-a-half years focussing on repairing over 900 war-damaged homes in Kharkiv Oblast, our aim now is the purchase and repair of cottages in safer parts of the country to ensure the safe and comfortable evacuation of families from the east, where Russia's offensive continues to flatten whole cities. Alongside the mass use of glide bombs and artillery, first-person-view drones are now used to target civilians who continue to attempt to remain in their homes. As a result of this, this year has seen a huge wave of migration westward meaning the provision of housing for internally displaced people has taken on a new urgency.
In the year before his death, David continually showed us so much support and care, from consistently promoting our work on the ‘Ukraine: the Latest’ podcast, to always checking up on our team, when somewhere he knew we may be working was attacked. We are so grateful to him, and hope that we will be able to raise money to continue to help the most vulnerable in Ukraine in his memory.
Please give what you are able to afford! Thank you!

The amount that David was able to achieve in a life cut so tragically short is an inspiration. He helped shine a light when things were darkest, now the rest of us must pick up and carry that torch. Slava Ukraini!
