Kerri Claire Neil is trained as an economist. She holds a B.A. (Hons.) in economics from Memorial University and is completing a master's degree in sociology.

Kerri Claire has worked with the Department of Economics, Memorial University researching immigration and municipal service delivery in the province, with a focus on policy development.

A feminist activist, Kerri Claire is active in her community. She founded the MUN Tax Clinic, the province's largest free clinic to help low-income earners file their taxes.
