David Kern for Defiance County Commissioner

Born and raised in Defiance, Ohio, David Kern attended high school in Defiance and Ayersville, graduating from the latter in 2001. He takes great pride in where he comes from and credits this community for the opportunities he has been blessed to receive.

With a passion for community and public service, Kern has held numerous positions throughout his career. Currently he serves on the Ayersville Local Board of Education and is President of the Ayersville Education Foundation. He lives by the motto "Our children deserve better."

Kern is also a major supporter of all first responders, military members and their families. As a lieutenant with the South Richland Fire Department, he sees a continual need for local and statewide support of our first responders and the agencies they serve.

David and his wife Melissa reside in Defiance with their four children, Kaiden, Veylee, Lucas and Ezra. If hard work, truthful leadership and pure decision making are values you cherish, elect David Kern for Defiance County Commissioner.
