Kentish Town Community Centre Christmas Happiness Hampers Project
Christmas can be a challenging time for lots of our families, particularly those on a low-income. We've launched our Christmas Happiness Hampers Campaign with the aim of spreading a little festive cheer for families who may otherwise be struggling this year.
We aim to raise £15,000 to provide hampers worth £50 each for 300 low-income families in Kentish Town.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak in March we've seen a significant increase in the number of local families requesting financial advise and using our Food Bank. Many have been pushed below the poverty line. Our hampers are packed with enough food for five full meals, including fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Your donation will help to ensure our families have enough to eat, and no child goes hungry over the Christmas period.
Brecknock, Torriano, Kentish Town CoE and St Patricks Catholic Primary Schools will be part of this project. This follows on from the Happiness Hampers project which we launched in March 2020 to support low income families.
Brecknock, Torriano and Kentish Town CoE School will decide on the families that will receive the hampers, based on known need.
Anything you can donate will make a real difference to families in Kentish Town this Christmas.
