Kendrick Brown for SC Senate

I am extremely excited to embark on this journey at such a pivotal time in our existence. As you read this, the world is changing. YOU are changing. The most significant question we’ll answer, in 2024, is what will we do to change the world? Now is the time to define who we are and design the impact we will leave behind by our collective choices. I, Kendrick Rashad Brown, Sr., am running for South Carolina Senate: District 40 to be a part of that efficacious change. This campaign aims to positively energize as many people as possible to live up to their utmost potential. Financial disparity, and its relationship to crime, unemployment, a lack of educational/ youth resources, and the future infrastructure of rural areas, are some of my concerns for the future of the low country of South Carolina. For too long, we have been overlooked and undervalued. I truly believe that this area has the people, the potential, and the power to become a beacon of hope in a state that desperately needs to progress.

Born to a father from Denmark, South Carolina, and a mother from Midway (Bamberg), South Carolina, this area is the only home I've ever known. I view it as an honor to fight for the expansion of knowledge, opportunities, and resources for the people who will one day take on the responsibility of making the world a better place. The youth will inherit it all. As proof, I, myself, am anchored by the legacies and traditions of past community cultivators. I currently teach at my alma mater, Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. Like many undervalued teachers, I spend my workdays investing in the growth of the culture of the community. My ability to build relationships with students and other professionals to establish the best learning environment will instantly translate to this position.

My candidacy is a direct attempt to combat poverty, redefine justice, and curate a positive and powerful future for South Carolina. Now is a more important time than ever to stand for what we believe in as citizens and inspire the youth to, one day, pick up the torch and continue to make the world a better place. Join me in creating opportunities in communities where there is a lack thereof and using this campaign to uplift the world. The people of District 40 deserve a better quality of life and energized representation ready for the job. Change is on the ballot in 2024. Take a chance on the true American dream.

God bless you all,

Kendrick Rashad Brown, Sr.
