In Memory of Ken Baker
All of us at Sports World Ministries share with Ken Baker’s family in grieving his loss. At the same time, we celebrate the life of our dear friend, rejoicing that he is experiencing perfect joy in the arms of Jesus. Ken Baker was a valued member of the Sports World team for many years. He supported our mission of sending professional athletes into schools to share personal life experiences with students, helping them to understand the consequences of their choices while sharing with them The Message of Hope found only in Jesus. Sports World has impacted over 22 million youth, helping them understand that
“You’re not born a Winner;
You’re not born a Loser;
You’re born a CHOOSER!”
In partnership with our counseling service, Sports World helps to diffuse an average of 175 youth suicides per year, and thousands of youth have been introduced to a life of Christian faith. Sports World’s program would not be possible without dedicated volunteers. Ken Baker was one of those volunteers. Ken dearly wanted every child in the Terre Haute community to have a relationship with Jesus. His leadership enabled Sports World pro athletes to bring The Message of Hope to over 14,000 youth in his community. We are deeply grateful for Ken and his support of Sports World Ministries, and we are equally grateful for your continued support of our program to continue Ken’s legacy and his heart’s desire for the children in his community.
