Keep Judge Tim Cusack

Judge Tim Cusack brings extensive legal and judicial experience to the Peoria County Circuit Court.

He currently serves as Peoria County’s resident circuit judge following his 2024 appointment by the Illinois Supreme Court. His background includes 14 years of judicial service and 23 years as a prosecutor, public defender, and private attorney in state and federal courts.

Judge Cusack is a certified judicial mentor and a founding member of Peoria County’s Veteran Court, Mental Health Court, and Juvenile Justice Program. He also taught legal studies at Illinois Central College for 14 years and helped streamline the adoption process for children in foster care.
