Support Swimmable Water
Your donation helps keep California's waters safe for swimming, surfing & splashing.
Swimmable California Day recognizes every Californian's right to clean waterways and a healthy coastline that is safe to enjoy. Swimmable California Day was officially recognized by the California Legislature in 2013 and is celebrated each year on July 25th. California Coastkeeper Alliance is celebrating by raising funds to support the tools, time, and tenacity it takes to protect clean, swimmable waters.
California Coastkeeper Alliance believes that people and the environment share a fundamental right to clean water. California Coastkeeper Alliance uses a strategic combination of law, policy, science, and advocacy to protect and restore fishable, swimmable, drinkable waters on behalf of us all.
By donating today, you become a member of California Coastkeeper Alliance, and you help ensure protection of our inland waterways, iconic beaches, and magnificent coastline.
About the Artwork
California Coastkeeper Alliance partnered with 3 Fish Studios, the artistic home of painters and printmakers Annie Galvin and Eric Rewitzer, to create the Swimmable California mascot, a special swimming-themed edition of its iconic bear print. The husband and wife team runs a studio in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
