For over four decades, the Joint Women’s Leadership Symposium (JWLS)—hosted by the Sea Services Leadership Association (SSLA) has been a cornerstone of professional development, mentorship, and leadership for women across all uniformed services. Each year, JWLS supports the Joint Force by equipping service members with the tools they need to lead with excellence, enhance readiness, and drive change.

But this year, we face a serious challenge.

Due to agency and administration wide policy changes, we have lost critical financial support from the service branches. The sweeping directives have impacted even proven organizations like SSLA that have delivered contributions to the retention and readiness of our warfighters.
