Goal

Vanna (she/her) is a young Black mother, worker, and union organizer who was unjustly fired by Starbucks on April 3, 2024. Vanna is a shift supervisor at the Chicago Greektown SBX location. She has been a welcoming and warm member of the SBX Greektown community and a leader in the store's Starbucks Workers United campaign.

On April 3, Store Manager Tamara McDonald fired Vanna for arriving at her shift under 5 minutes late. Vanna had previously communicated to management circumstances in her private life that may affect her transportation to work, including her children's health and safety. Vanna and her family have now been denied unemployment by SBX and face housing insecurity. We need to show up for Vanna by maintaining our networks of mutual aid and care. We will always support and defend each other, and we will have justice for Vanna!

Solidarity forever!
