Goal

(Luna Mae and Junior Mint)
On July 31, 2018, poor Junior Mint came into Rescue with a "screw tail", a curly tail that had become embedded in his backside, causing pain and infection. He is currently being treated with antibiotics to treat the "fistulae" caused by abscesses underneath his skin. Just when one clears up, another appears. Once we are able to get the infection under control, Junior with need to undergo surgery to at the University of Florida to have his tail removed (caudectomy) to prevent any further infection and pain.

(1 - anus, 2 - infection from several fistulae, 3 - embedded tail)
Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, Inc. has already spent over $1,000 in vetting cost for Junior Mint to date. The upcoming surgery at UF is estimated to cost more than $1,500. Please help if you can so that we can keep helping precious pups like Junior Mint.

Junior (4 years old) and his bonded "mate", Luna Mae (2 years old), came to us as a result of being displaced by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Junior and Luna's foster mom describes Junior as "a gentle giant. He is the sweetest boy that loves his treats and to be cuddled. Whether he is in bed with you or walking, he is always looking back at you! He will either lay around with you all day or he will go prance around outside. He has the sweetest face & when you look at him, his eyebrows always tells you exactly how he is feeling. Toys aren't a big thing right now but he loves, loves, loves treats and he will even go to the bag and wait for you!! He prances for walks when getting ready for them and his love for baths are getting stronger! Everything we can do to helps little baby is so worth it because he & his personality deserve the world. He is the sweetest pup around."
