To all my journalist colleagues and friends - keep asking those difficult and probing questions in these toughest of times.

Your work has never been so important as at this time of global uncertainty.

As a journalism student I understand the dangers the industry faces at a time where facts are needed to drown out the increasing barrage of so-called 'fake news'. While far from perfect, newspapers are vital to informing the public and will hopefully continue to play a part for many years to come.

Desperately need your continuing knowledge and ability to present and scrutinise the work around us
