Goal

TRANS RIGHTS READATHON

The Trans Rights Readathon is an annual decentralized fundraiser that calls people to 1) read trans books and 2) donate to trans-supporting organizations in your community.

It runs from March 17 - March 31, alongside Trans Day of Visibility.

I'm a longtime Trans Journalists Association member (and cofounding member/board member/former staff member). That's a big piece of my community. So I'm fundraising to support our work.

I intend to:

- Read books written by trans journalists

- Donate $10 to the TJA per book that I finish

- Bonus points: Can I get one new recurring donor to the TJA — whether they give $5 or $50 — per book?

ABOUT THE TRANS JOURNALISTS ASSOCIATION

We're the Trans Journalists Association, the only trans-led organization of gender-expansive journalists in the U.S.

After five years of promoting accurate, nuanced coverage of trans rights and communities, we're asking our incredible community to consider investing more intentionally with a recurring monthly donation that works best for you.

In the face of unprecedented political attacks on trans people and ever-shifting, uncertain news and media landscapes, your support will help sustain our efforts for another five years and beyond.
