Join the Alliance

The Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint (AASR) membership program offers supporters an opportunity to actively contribute to the organization’s mission of reducing and eliminating the use of seclusion and restraint in schools and other settings. The program consists of six tiers, each providing unique benefits to members while supporting AASR’s core values and advocacy efforts.

Benefits

Each tier of membership not only provides valuable benefits to supporters but also contributes to the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint's mission of promoting trauma-informed, neuroscience-aligned, and relationship-driven approaches in schools and other settings. By joining the membership program, supporters can play an active role in ending harmful practices and fostering safer, more inclusive environments for all individuals.

Earlier this month the security officer at my son’s school put him in a prone restraint. This is not the first time employees have physically restrained my son without authorization. My son still doesn’t have an updated IEP, BIP, FIE. The last valid IEP was from 2023. Would love to talk more please!
